This module will teach about the osteopathic physiological considerations of the digestive tract and the microbiome of the horse and its role within the immune system.

What will I learn?

You will learn about the digestive tract from an osteopathic point of view as the control center of wellbeing, the largest connection of the body to the exterior environment and the center of the immune system.

You will learn about the microbiome in general and its osteopathic importance as well as the Mucosa Immune Barrier System, the Toll-Like Receptors and their importance for dysbiosis and leaky gut syndrome, the influence of nutrition and medication and how to osteopathically judge and approach this delicate system.
