Day 1 & 2: Preparation for exam

Day 3: Written (Theoretical) Exam

Upon completion of Modules 1 through 15, candidates will be contacted by the Registry for Equine Diplomate Osteopaths International (REDOI) to register for the Theoretical portion of the Equine Osteopath Competency Examination (EOCE).
Candidates are assigned an accession number, which is used on the exam booklet (in place of a name). The exam consists of 3-4 open/essay questions. No books, notes, or electronic devices are permitted.
Candidates have 4 hours to complete the exam.
To pass the written exam, the candidate must achieve a minimum score of 65%. Grading takes approximately 2 weeks.
The candidate must pass the written exam in order to be invited to take the practical exam which will be scheduled at a later date.

Practical Exam:

Candidates will receive an email notification from REDOI regarding their score for the Theoretical Exam. Those who pass will receive information regarding the schedule and registration for the Practical Exam. Those who do not pass will receive information regarding opportunities to re-take the Theoretical Exam.
The practical exam is taken in front of an exam committee appointed by REDOI comprised of 1 veterinarian EDO®, 1 DO EDO®, and 1 EDO®.
The candidate will perform an osteopathic examination, answer questions, and demonstrate normalization techniques as requested by the exam committee.
Duration: 30 minutes.
To pass the Practical Exam, the candidate must achieve a minimum score of 65%. Scores will be communicated on the final day of exams. Successful candidates may then register with REDOI to be awarded use of the EDO® quality mark.
